The local body elections in Tripura will begin from November 25. The Supreme Court, the country highest court, has refused to postpone the local body elections in Tripura to be held from November 25. The Trinamool Congress had demanded postponement of the elections citing political violence. On the petition of TMC, the Supreme Court said that it is not necessary to do so.

Tripura में local body elections 25 नवंबर से ही शुरु होगा. देश की सबसे बड़ी अदालत Supreme Court ने Tripura में 25 नवंबर से होने वाले स्थानीय निकाय चुनाव को टालने से इनकार कर दिया है. Trinamool Congress ने राजनीतिक हिंसा का हवाला देते हुए चुनावों को टालने की मांग की थी. TMC की याचिका पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा कि ऐसा करना ज़रूरी नहीं है.
