Dhanteras takes place two days before Diwali. This time Dhanteras is on 2nd November 2021. On the day of Dhanteras, a lamp is lit for Yamraj, the god of death, which is called Yama Deep. दीपावली से दो दिन पहले धनतेरस होता है. इस बार धनतेरस 2 नवंबर 2021 को है. धनतेरस के दिन मत्यु के देवता यमराज के लिए दिया जलाया जाता है, जिसे यम दीप कहते हैं. मान्यता है कि धनतेरस के दिन यम दीप जलाने और पूजा करने से यमराज खुश होते और अकाल मृत्यु नहीं होती.
