National Conference chief Omar Abdullah on Monday urged the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Governor Satya Pal Malik and the central government to announce elections in the state and let the people decide on whether Article 35A should stay or go.
“The Centre and Governor have only one responsibility right now that is to hold elections. So, hold elections, let people take the decision, the new government will itself work towards safeguarding Article 35A,” Adullah said in Srinagar.
