Umno and Bersatu have sacked three assemblypersons for defecting from the now-dissolved Malacca government.

Umno secretary-general Ahmad Maslan said that the party had sacked Idris Haron (Sungai Udang) and Nor Azman Hassan (Pantai Kundor).

Meanwhile, Bersatu secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin said the party’s political bureau had sacked Noor Effandi Ahmad (Telok Mas).
