The Delhi High Court on Friday sought a response from the Center on petitions filed by Facebook and WhatsApp challenging the IT rules for social media companies. Under the new rule, it is necessary for the messaging app to find out who originated a message. Through these petitions, the new rules have been challenged on the ground that they violate the right to privacy and are unconstitutional, The next hearing will be on October 22.

दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट (Delhi High Court) ने सोशल मीडिया कंपनियों के लिए आईटी नियमों (New IT Rules) को चुनौती देते हुए फेसबुक (Facebook) और व्हाट्सऐप (Whatsapp) की ओर से दायर याचिकाओं पर शुक्रवार को केंद्र से जवाब मांगा. नए नियम के तहत मैसेजिंग ऐप के लिए यह पता लगाना जरूरी है कि किसी मैसेज की शुरुआत किसने की.इन याचिकाओं के जरिए नए नियमों को इस आधार पर चुनौती दी गई है कि वे निजता के अधिकार का उल्लंघन करते हैं और असंवैधानिक हैं,मामले की अगली सुनवाई 22 अक्टूबर को होगी।
