Politics has started once again to change the name of Aligarh. The proposal to change the name of Aligarh to Harigarh was passed in the board meeting of the newly formed district panchayat. The Zilla Panchayat members and public representatives present in the house agreed on this. Now the proposal has been sent to the government.

अलीगढ़ का नाम बदलने को लेकर एक बार फिर से राजनीति शुरू हो गई है। नवगठित जिला पंचायत की बोर्ड बैठक में अलीगढ़ का नाम बदलकर हरिगढ़ किए जाने के प्रस्ताव को पास किया गया। सदन में मौजूद जिला पंचायत सदस्यों औप जनप्रतिनिधियों ने इस पर अपनी सहमति जताई। अब प्रस्ताव शासन को भेजा गया है।
