The Rajya Sabha has passed a key Constitutional amendment bill that proposes to restore the powers of states and Union Territories to make their own OBC lists for the purpose of reservation in jobs and educational institutes. The Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty Seventh Amendment) Bill 2021, commonly called the OBC Bill, was passed by the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.

Rajya Sabha ने बुधवार को 127वें संविधान संशोधन विधेयक 2021 को मंजूरी दे दी है. Lok Sabha से मंजूरी मिलने के बाद अब इस विधेयक को राज्यसभा से भी मंजूरी मिल गई है. इसके तहत राज्‍यों को अन्‍य पिछड़ा वर्ग यानी OBC सूची तैयार करने का अधिकार दिया गया है. सभी दलों ने इस बिल को समर्थन देने का ऐलान किया. कुछ सांसदों ने संशोधन भी पेश किए लेकिन संशोधन खारिज हो गए. इस तरह वोटिंग के जरिए राज्यसभा में ओबीसी आरक्षण से जुड़ा ये अहम बिल पारित हो गया. देखिए वीडियो
