The bill was passed in the Lok Sabha with a two-thirds majority.

अब राज्य और केंद्रशासित प्रदेश अपनी OBC list बना सकेंगे. क्योंकि Lok Sabha ने बिल को मंजूरी दे दी है. इस सत्र में ये पहला ऐसा दिन था जब किसी बिल पर शांतिपूर्ण तरीके से चर्चा की गई. पूरे विपक्ष ने ओबीसी से जुड़े इस बिल का समर्थन किया. साथ ही कुछ दलों ने सरकार से ये मांग भी की है कि OBC reservation की 50 फीसदी की सीमा को बढ़ाने की व्यवस्था भी कराई जाए. लोकसभा में ये बिल दो तिहाई बहुमत से पास हो गया
