BJP MPs from northeastern states on Monday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the recent tensions at the Assam-Mizoram border and accused the Congress of politicising the sensitive issue. During the meeting, BJP lawmakers from Assam, Manipur, Tripura and Arunachal Pradesh submitted a memorandum to PM Modi, who assured them the government will try to resolve issues of the northeast amicably. Earlier in the day, the prime minister met Mizoram Governor Haribabu Kambhampati.
