Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 24 addressed the nation on the Ashadha Purnima-Dhamma Chakra Day. PM Modi said, “In Sarnath, Lord Buddha told us the source of the entire life. He told us about sorrow and its reasons. He assured us that one can win against sorrows, he even told us the way to do so. He gave us eight mantras for life,” PM Modi said. Ashadha Purnima-Dhamma Chakra Day is also known as Guru Purnima.
