Punjab Congress has got a new Captain in Navjot Singh Sidhu. Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has approved the appointment of Sidhu as the president of the party's Punjab unit. Along with this, the party has also made four working presidents in view of the upcoming assembly elections in the state. Party leader KC Venugopal has issued a letter regarding the appointment of everyone including Sidhu.

पंजाब कांग्रेस को नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू के रूप में नया कैप्टन मिल गया है। कांग्रेस की अंतरिम अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी ने सिद्धू को पार्टी की पंजाब इकाई का अध्यक्ष बनाए जाने पर मुहर लगा दी है। इसके साथ ही राज्य में आगामी विधानसभा चुनावों को देखते हुए पार्टी ने चार कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष भी बनाए हैं। पार्टी नेता केसी वेणुगोपाल ने सिद्धू समेत सभी के नियुक्ति को लेकर पत्र जारी कर दिया है।
