The Delhi High Court has backed the need for a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the country and asked the Centre to take the necessary steps in this regard. The Uniform Civil Code refers to the formulation of one law for the country to govern personal matters such as marriage, divorce, adoption, and inheritance, irrespective of their religion.
