The Jagannatha Temple administration on Friday informed that like the previous year, this year's Rath Yatra festival would be organised without the participation of devotees and in strict adherence to safety protocols to contain the spread of coronavirus. According to the Administrator of Puri Jagannatha Temple Ajay Jena the servitors testing negative for COVID-19 would be allowed to participate in the pulling of the chariots.

Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra का हिंदू धर्म में बहुत अधिक महत्व होता है। इस Rath Yatra का आयोजन Odisha के Jagannatha Temple से होता है। हिंदू पंचांग के अनुसार हर साल आषाढ़ माह में शुक्ल पक्ष की द्वितीया तिथि को Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra निकाली जाती है। इस यात्रा में भक्तों का तांता लग जाता है, लेकिन इस बार Coronavirusकी वजह से भक्तों को इस यात्रा में शामिल होने का अवसर नहीं मिल पाएगा।
