Robert Williams did not practice today per Brad Stevens. He was also held out of practice yesterday, and Stevens gave no real update on his status for game one vs Brooklyn. However, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, sources are saying that Williams is expected to play in Game One vs Brooklyn.
Multiple Celtics players spoke after the team’s practice today. Marcus Smart commented on odds being stacked against them in the upcoming series. Smart mentioned the team’s ability to play as the underdog in series’, saying that they have done it before in the past. This was what he had to say:
“We know the odds are against us. But we have nothing to lose. They have a ton of talent, but talent doesn’t always win.”
The Boston Celtics travel to Brooklyn tomorrow night for Game One of the series vs the Nets. Tip-off is set for 8:00 PM on ABC.
