Assam first phase voting of the for a total of 47 assembly constituencies spanned across 12 districts. As many as 264 candidates from different political parties including Independent candidates will contest in the first phase of polling.

असम विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए पहले चरण का मतदान जारी है. 126 सदस्यीय विधानसभा के लिये पहले चरण में 47 सीटों पर वोट डाले जा रहे हैं. 1917 सहायक मतदान केंद्रों समेत कुल 11537 मतदान केंद्रों पर करीब 81.09 लाख मतदाता अपने मताधिकार का इस्तेमाल कर रहे है. पहले चरण की वोटिंग में ही मुख्यमंत्री सर्वानंद सोनोवाल, विधानसभा अध्यक्ष हितेंद्रनाथ गोस्वामी, प्रदेश कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष रिपुन बोरा और कई मंत्रियों की किस्मत का फैसला होगा।
