Today is the second day of the strike of state-run banks in protest against the proposal of privatization of the two banks. Banking operations were affected on the first day of the strike. As the strike affected cash withdrawals, deposits, check clearing and business transactions in public sector banks, Indian Bank Employees Organization Secretary General CH Venkatachalam said that the strike could not clear about 2 crore checks across the country. A total amount of 16,500 crores is trapped in it.

दो बैंकों के निजीकरण के प्रस्ताव के विरोध में सरकारी बैंकों की हड़ताल का आज दूसरा दिन है। हड़ताल के पहले दिन बैंकिंग कामकाज प्रभावित हुआ। हड़ताल के चलते सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों में नकदी निकासी, जमा, चेक समाशोधन और कारोबारी लेनदेन प्रभावित हुआ,भारतीय बैंक कर्मचारी संगठन के महासचिव सीएच वेंकटचालम ने बताया कि हड़ताल से देशभर में करीब 2 करोड़ चेक का क्लीयरेंस नहीं हो सका। इसमें कुल 16,500 करोड़ की राशि फंसी है
