The Shamli police in Uttar Pradesh is investigating a one-of-its-kind case — that of an allegedly stolen male buffalo. In an application to the police, a man has sought a DNA test of the buffalo, which he claims to be his own, to settle a dispute over its ownership. Chandrapal Singh (40), a farmer from Jhinjhana, alleged that his four-year-old buffalo was stolen on 25 August 2020, and that he traced it three months later in a village in Saharanpur district, 40 km away from Shamli.

उत्तर प्रदेश से बड़ा ही अजीबो गरीब मामला सामने आया है। शामली के एक क‍िसान ने अधि‍कारियों को पत्र लिखकर भैंसे का डीएनए टेस्‍ट करवाने की मांग की है। मामला सामने आने के बाद अधि‍कारी भी हैरत में पड़ गए। इतना ही नहीं ये मामला चर्चा का व‍िषय बना हुआ है।दरअसल, जिले में किसान का भैंसा चोरी हो गया. मामला इतना बिगड़ा कि उसने पुलिस अधीक्षक के सामने डीएन टेस्ट की मांग रख दी.
