भारत और ऑस्ट्रेलिया ए के खिलाफ गुलाबी गेंद से दूसरा अभ्यास मैच 11 दिसंबर से खेला गया, 17 दिसंबर से शुरु होने वाले टेस्ट सीरीज से पहले ये एक अहम अभ्यास मैच माना जा रहा था, टीम इंडिया ने इस अभ्यास मैच में टॉस जीत कर पहले बल्लेबाजी करने का फैसला किया, टीम इंडिया के लिए मंयक अग्रवाल और पृथ्वी शॉ ने ओपनिंग की जिम्मेदारी संभाली लेकिन मंयक अग्रवाल इस मौके को भूना नहीं पाए, अग्रवाल 5 गेंदों पर 2 रन बनाकर एबोट की गेंद पर पहली स्लीप को कैच थमा बैठे, पहले टेस्ट से पहले टीम इंडिया की मुश्किलें बढ़ गई है।
