The Perak palace is unable to determine if any state assemblyperson commands the majority to be the next menteri besar of the state.

This was informed by palace spokesperson Annuar Zaini, who told reporters that everyone would have to wait for the lawmakers, who are still negotiating.

"His Royal Highness has yet to be convinced that anyone (has the majority. We will wait until (the lawmakers) are ready to convince His Royal Highness.

"Once His Royal Highness is satisfied that a simple majority exists, then we can establish a government," he said.
