The WHO advises adults get at least 150 minutes, or 2-and-a-half hours of physical activity on a weekly basis.
The newly released physical activity guidelines are also aimed at people with chronic conditions or disabilities.
It recommended that children and teenagers get at least 60 minutes of exercise each day.
The international health body explains that the guidelines come at a time when the world is witnessing a rapid spread of COVID-19,... adding that being overweight or obese has been associated with an increased risk of severe illness when contracting the virus.
