சென்னை: நிவர் புயல் தாக்கத்தால் சென்னையில் கனமழை பெய்து வருகிறது. இதனால் மாநகரின் தாழ்வான பகுதிகளான மடிப்பாக்கம், வேளச்சேரி போன்ற பல்வேறு பகுதிகளில் மழைநீர் சூழ்ந்து வெள்ளக்காடாக காட்சியளிக்கிறது. வாகனங்களில் வெள்ளநீர் புகுந்து விடாமல் இருக்க வேளச்சேரியில் வசிப்பவர்கள் தங்களின் வாகனங்களை மேம்பாலத்தில் நிறுத்தி வைத்துள்ளனர்.
Heavy rain is falling in Chennai due to the impact of Nivar storm. Thus, the lower parts of the city, such as Madippakkam, Velachery, various areas are surrounded by rainwater. Residents of Velachery have parked their vehicles on the flyover to prevent floodwaters from entering the vehicles.
