There is a tradition of worshiping Lord Surya in Kartik month. In Shukla Paksha, Chhath Puja (Chhath Puja 2020) is the legislation on Shashthi Tithi. This worship has started mainly in Bihar and Jharkhand, which has now spread to India and abroad. Shashthi Tithi is related to the age of children. Therefore, worshiping the Sun God and Shashthi leads to both the attainment of child and its age.


कार्तिक मास में भगवान सूर्य की पूजा की परंपरा है. शुक्ल पक्ष में षष्ठी तिथि को छठ पूजा (Chhath Puja 2020) विधान है. इस पूजा की शुरुआत मुख्य रूप से बिहार और झारखण्ड से हुई है जो अब देश-विदेश तक फैल चुकी है. षष्ठी तिथि का संबंध संतान की आयु से होता है. इसलिए सूर्य देव और षष्ठी की पूजा से संतान प्राप्ति और और उसकी आयु रक्षा दोनों हो जाती है.
