Amid the unrest in Delhi Northeast region, National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval reached the DCP’s office. Doval also visited the violence hit areas and interacted with the locals. He assured people full protection. Doval, who has been given the task to restore law and order in the national capital, made a second visit to the affected areas on Wednesday, February 26 evening. A furious Delhi High Court had urged police to file FIRs against all those who were making hateful speeches. Justice S Muralidhar asserted, "the court would not allow another 1984 scenario.” PM Modi made his first official statement since the unprecedented violence appealed for peace. The violence has claimed 28 lives and over 200 people have been left injured.
