India on Thursday announced a graded relaxation in visa and travel restrictions and allowed all foreign nationals as well as all OCI and PIO card holders to travel to the country via air or sea. All such persons are now allowed to travel to India for any purpose, except tourism.

కరోనా మహమ్మారి కారణంగా ఫిబ్రవరి నుంచి అంతర్జాతీయ రాకపోకలపై విధించిన ఆక్షలను దశలవారీగా ఎత్తివేసేందుకు కేంద్రం సిద్ధమైంది. దేశంలోకి ఇతర దేశాల నుంచి భారతీయులు, విదేశీయుల రాకపోకలపై విధించిన ఆంక్షలను ఎత్తివేయాలని కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం తాజాగా నిర్ణయించింది.పర్యాటక వీసా మినహా అన్ని వర్గాల ప్రయాణాలకు అనుమతులు ఇవ్వనున్నట్లు కేంద్ర హోంశాఖ విడుదల చేసిన ప్రకటనలో స్పష్టం చేసింది.
