There has been extensive organizational reshuffle in the Congress. Randeep Singh Surjewala, the head of the Congress media department, has been included in the 6-member special committee advising the Congress President along with the party general secretary. He has been given charge of Karnataka. Apart from this, Surjewala has also been appointed as incharge of Karnataka.

कांग्रेस में व्यापक संगठनात्मक फेरबदल किया गया है. कांग्रेस मीडिया विभाग के प्रमुख रणदीप सिंह सुरजेवाला को पार्टी महासचिव के साथ ही कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष को सलाह देने वाली उच्च स्तरीय 6 सदस्यीय विशेष समिति में शामिल किया गया है। उन्हें कर्नाटक का प्रभार दिया गया है। इसके अलावा सुरजेवाला को कर्नाटक का प्रभारी भी नियुक्त किया गया है.
