Remember the climaxscene of the blockbuster Hindi movie '3 Idiots'? It was shot at the Pangong Tso. The movie was so popular in China that fans there celebrated 10 years of '3 Idiots' in December 2019, hailing it as the 'film of the century'. Right now, this Pangong Tso is the site of eye-to-eye confrontation between Indian and Chinese troops, following a scuffle in early May. Both sides have ramped up their troop presence but "disengagement" process is also underway.

ईस्टर्न लद्दाख में पैंगोंग झील के उत्तरी किनारे यानी फिंगर एरिया में अब भारतीय सैनिकों की तैनाती अहम हाइट्स पर की गई है। चीनी सैनिक यहां पर फिंगर-4 की चोटी पर डटे हुए हैं। सूत्रों के मुताबिक अब भारतीय सेना ने वहां पर ऐसी पॉजिशन पर कब्जा कर लिया है जो फिंगर-4 से भी ऊंची है। एक सीनियर अधिकारी के मुताबिक वहां पर हम अब अपने ही इलाके में ऐसी हाइट्स पर तैनात हैं जो फिंगर-4 को भी डोमिनेट करती है।
