태풍 '바비' 북상에 인천항 비상근무... 연안부두 대비상황
As Typhoon Bavi slowly moves up toward the Korean peninsula, we thought we'd check in with one of our reporters to the west of the capital.
Our Choi Won-jong is on a pier near Incheon.
Wonjong, it's clear and sunny now, but that is going to change over the next 12 to 24 hours.
Good afternoon, Mark. I am standing at the Yeonan Pier near Incheon where Typhoon Bavi is expected to pass early on Thursday. As you can see behind me, we are seeing very clear skies right now and there are no major gusts of wind at the moment. We are even seeing that
some boats are still out on the water right now.
It's difficult to predict when the typhoon will arrive. However, I spoke to an official from the Incheon Port Authority on the phone this morning, and he said some fishing boats and ferries are already tied to the dock as a preventative measure.
According to the Incheon Port Authority, there's a high possibility most ferry schedules will be affected tomorrow by the typhoon.
Once again, it's still a calm scene here, but it is likely to be a different picture later.
I'll bring you more updates as they come in.
Reporting live from Incheon, back to you, Mark.
