Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu has resigned. President Ram Nath Kovind has accepted the resignation of GC Murmu. Murmu's resignation came on a day when most of the provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir were completed, a year to be abolished.Former Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Manoj Sinha will now be the new Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir
