Sawan Somvar 2020: Sawan Third Somvar on 20 July Know all Importance of this day. The first showers of the monsoon season also mark the beginning of the month of Sawan as well as Chaturmas. This year, the holy month of Sawan or Shravan begins July 6 and will end August 3, as per the North Indian Purnimant calendar.

सावन के महीने को भगवान श‍िव की पूजा और मनोकामनाओं की पूर्ति का महीना माना जाता है. मान्‍यता है क‍ि इस महीने में की गई पूजा-अर्चना से भोलेनाथ खुश होते हैं और मनचाहा वर देते हैं. ऐसे में अगर आप सावन के महीने में भगवान शिव की व‍िशेष पूजा-पाठ करने में सक्षम नहीं हैं तो केवल सोमवार के द‍िन व्रत करके पूजा कर सकते हैं. सावन महीने का तीसरा सोमवार 20 जुलाई को पड़ रहा है. खास बात यह है कि इस दिन हरियाली अमावस्या भी मनायी जाएगी.
