Two girls were injured after riding an inflatable banana boat that collided with a yacht in Thailand.
The youngsters, aged nine and 11, were playing on one of the popular inflatables on a beach on the idyllic island of Koh Lipe when the accident happened on Tuesday afternoon (July 7).
They were rushed to the hospital in Koh Lipe town in Satun province, where medics founds they had suffered serious concussion and flooded lungs.
The hospital where they were first admitted said that the two were in severe condition and needed to be transferred due to limited equipment. Royal Thai Navy forces assisted with transferring the two injured girls to a better-equipped hospital.
Footage shows the girls rushed into a helicopter provided by the navy force that was taking the young patients to a bigger hospital in nearby Phuket.
The girls reportedly arrived safely at the hospital where they will continue receiving treatment after their condition was stabilised.
