The inaugural season of The Hundred was pushed back a year on Thursday, with English cricket leaders conceding the task of delivering their glossy and controversial competition during a pandemic was too difficult.the England and Wales Cricket Board said it will not be possible to stage the event because of operational challenges.

दुनिया भर में फैली महामारी कोरोना वायरस के चलते आये दिन खेल टूर्नामेंट के आयोजनों को टाला जा रहा है। ओलंपिक से लेकर आईपीएल तक बड़े-बड़े टूर्नामेंट इस महामारी के चलते अब तक टाले जा चुके हैं। अब इस महामारी की भेंट एक और टूर्नामेंट चढ़ गया है। इंग्लैंड क्रिकेट बोर्ड की ओर से इस साल जुलाई में शुरु होने वाले टूर्नामेंट 'द हंड्रेड' को ईसीबी ने अगले साल तक के लिये स्थगित कर दिया।
