Maha Shivratri, one of the most auspicious Hindu festivals which is annually observed in honour of Lord Shiva, is being celebrated cross the nation. Devotees observed a fast to please Lord Shiva. They also doused the Shivling with water from Ganges, turmeric, rose water, sandalwood paste, sacred ash, panchamrit, honey, milk, curd and more. Temples across the country were decorated.
