The delivery of the Rafale fighter jets will be pushed back due to the coronavirus crisis. The first four aircraft are likely to land in India by July 2020 and not May as earlier scheduled. Defence sources told ThePrint on the condition of anonymity that Dassault Aviation’s Bordeaux-Mérignac production facility, which manufactures the Rafale, has been hit by the lockdown in France, which will continue until 11 May.

बता दें कि फ्रांस से डिलीवरी में देरी के अलावा, अंबाला एयरबेस में भी कुछ तैयारियां पूरी होनी बाकी हैं। बता दें कि राफेल लड़ाकू विमान को अगले महीने मई के अंत तक भारत पहुंचना था, लेकिन कोरोना वायरस के चलते अब कुछ हफ्तों की देरी होगी। लॉकडाउन खत्म होने के बाद ही कोई अंतिम कार्यक्रम बन पाएगा।
