Former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi has been in the news ever since he became a Rajya Sabha MP. After taking oath as a Rajya Sabha MP, former Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi made a sensational accusation against Congress leader and Supreme Court veteran Kapil Sibal. He said that he went to his house in 2018 seeking support of the Supreme Court in impeachment motion against the then Chief Justice Deepak Mishra.

भारत के पूर्व चीफ जस्टिस रंजन गोगोई जब से राज्यसभा सांसद बने हैं, तब से ही सुर्खियों में बने हुए हैं। राज्यसभा सांसद के तौर पर शपथ लेने के बाद पूर्व चीफ जस्टिस रंजन गोगोई ने कांग्रेस नेता और सुप्रीम कोर्ट के दिग्गज वकील कपिल सिब्बल पर बेहद सनसनीखेज आरोप लगाया। उन्होंने कहा कि वो 2018 में तत्कालीन चीफ जस्टिस दीपक मिश्रा के खिलाफ महाभियोग प्रस्ताव में सुप्रीम कोर्ट का समर्थन मांगने उनके घर गए थे।
