Wasim Jaffer has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. The 41-year-old bows out of the game as the highest run-getter in the Ranji Trophy.Jaffer, who started his career with Mumbai in the 1996/97 season, moved to Vidarbha ahead of the 2015-16 season. An ageless wonder, Jaffer had a strong Ranji season last year, scoring 1037 runs.

वसीम जाफर ने शनिवार को खेल के सभी प्रारूपों से संन्यास की घोषणा कर दी। भारतीय टीम के लिए सलामी बल्लेबाजी का मोर्चा संभाल चुके मुंबई के इस खिलाड़ी ने 41 साल की उम्र में क्रिकेट को अलविदा कहा। भारतीय टीम के लिए 2000 में डेब्यू करने वाले जाफर ने 31 टेस्ट में भारतीय टीम का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए एक दोहरा शतक, पांच शतक और 11 अर्धशतकों के बूते 1944 रन बनाए थे।
