After the appointment of the country's first Lokpal, the Central Government has notified the Lokpal Rules. It says that if someone makes a complaint against the current or a former Prime Minister, the decision of whether or not any investigation is needed at the time the case is registered, the entire bench will decide.

देश के पहले लोकपाल की नियुक्ति के बाद केंद्र सरकार ने लोकपाल नियमों को अधिसूचित किया है. इसमें कहा गया है कि अगर मौजूदा या किसी पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री के खिलाफ कोई शिकायत करता है तो मामला दर्ज होते ही किसी जांच की जरूरत है या नहीं इसका फैसला पूरी बेंच करेगी.
