India defeated Bangladesh by 18 runs to register their 2nd win of the T20 World Cup. India posted 142--highest total so far in the ongoing tournament-thanks to a brilliant knock by Shafali Verma. Poonam Yadav, who took a four-wicket haul against Australia, once again spun a web around the opposition batters as she finished with 3 wickets while Shikha Pandey chipped in with 2 wickets to help India beat Bangladesh by 18 runs and avenge the Asia Cup final defeat.

टीम इंडिया ने बांग्लादेश को हराकर धमाकेदार जीत हासिल की है. भारतीय टीम ने महिला टी-20 वर्ल्ड कप के अपने दूसरे मैच में बांग्लादेश को 18 रनों से मात दी. 143 रनों के लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए बांग्लादेश की टीम ने 20 ओवरों में 124/8 रन बनाए. भारत की ओर से एक बार फिर लेग स्पिनर पूनम यादव ने शानदार प्रदर्शन कर किया और 3 विकेट झटके. अरुंधति रेड्डी और शिखा पांडे को 2-2 विकेट मिले. 39 रनों की जोरदार पारी खेलने वाली शेफाली वर्मा को प्लेयर ऑफ द मैच का अवॉर्ड दिया गया. पर्थ में बांग्लादेश ने टॉस जीतकर गेंदबाजी का फैसला किया और भारत को पहले बल्लेबाजी का न्योता दिया.
