While addressing a public gathering in Assam’s Guwahati on January 04, the working president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) JP Nadda spoke on political parties of India. He said, “There are around 2300 political parties in our country and out of which 54 parties are regional. These parties have been given recognition by the Election Commission (EC). There are seven parties which have been provided with national recognition.” “The 54 regional parties have now been turned into ‘parivaarik’ (dynastic) parties and none of them are ‘vaicharik’ (ideological) parties no more. All regional parties have become dynastic parties by now,” he added. “If you will keep aside Congress party at national level then rest all parties have become dynastic parties and only BJP is a party of ideology,” JP Nadda further stated.
