Londoners excitedly gather around Carnaby Street in the Soho district as the Christmas lights get turned on Thursday night (November 7).

This year organisers together with Project Zero charity for the underwater theme to highlight the importance of ocean conservation. Decorations, which use water-based, vegan-friendly paint, feature a five-meter-long whale that blows bubbles, giant clusters of jellyfish and 200 lit-up squid.
