Korea's Supreme Court has ruled that as long as two married parents agree on the procedure in advance, children born using sperm donors are considered the children of both of them.
The court on Wednesday dismissed an appeal brought by a man asking to confirm that a child born to his wife using a sperm donor is not his.
The court said that if he had previously agreed to have a child through artificial insemination using another person's sperm,... he cannot change his mind after the child is born.
