Chicken Seekh Kabab is made from minced chicken, spices and can be found at most of the dhabas and on the streets. It is grilled over a charcoal fire, but it can also be made at home using a grill pan. It goes best with Green Chutney and Bread.
Ingredients:
(Serves 2)
- 1 Kg Mutton(minced)
- 1 tsp Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Ginger Paste
- 1/4 cup Mint Leaves
- 1/2 cup Coriander Leaves
- 3 Green Chillies(chopped)
- 1 Onion(chopped)
- 1 1/2 tbsp Coriander Seeds Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 2 tbsp Raw Papaya paste
- Salt
- 1/2 tsp turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp ghee
Method:
1. Take minced mutton in a bowl and add garlic paste, ginger paste, mint leaves, coriander leaves, chopped green chillies, chopped onion, coriander seeds powder, cumin seeds powder,garam masala, raw papaya paste, salt
2. Mix all of it together, and then, add turmeric powder and red chilli powder
3. Now, grind this mixture into a thin paste and take it out in a plate
4. After this, crack one egg on the paste; mix it, cover it and refrigerate it for around 1 - 1 1/2 hour
5. Now, take some mutton paste and give it a cylindrical shape
6. Put the wooden skewer right through the bottom of the paste, to its top and place it over a grill pan
7. Add ghee over the grill pan; grill it on both the sides for 5 minutes each and keep the flame on medium
8. Grill these seekh kababs for around 20 minutes and then take it out on a serving platter
