The employees of state-owned Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) on Friday decided to go ahead with an indefinite Samme from the midnight of October 5 even as the government said it would impose the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) and suspend those taking part.

దాదాపు నాలుగేళ్ల తరువాత తెలంగాణలో ఆర్టీసీ సమ్మె కొనసాగుతోంది. ఆర్టీసీ కార్మిక సంఘాలతో త్రిసభ్య కమిటీ జరిపిన చర్చలు విఫలం కావడంతో కార్మికులు సమ్మె వైపే మొగ్గు చూపారు. ప్రభుత్వంతో చర్చలు విఫలం కావడంతో దూరప్రాంతాలకు, ఇతర రాష్ట్రాలకు వెళ్లే బస్సు డ్రైవర్లు శుక్రవారమే ఉన్న పళంగా విధుల నుంచి వైదొలిగారు. దీంతో శుక్రవారం మధ్యాహ్నం నుంచే సమ్మె మొదలైనట్లయింది. దీంతో సమ్మె లేదనే శుభవార్త కోసం ఎదురు చూసిన ప్రయాణికులకు నిరాశే ఎదురైంది. ఇక శుక్రవారం అర్దరాత్రి నుంచే బస్సులు ఎక్కడికక్కడా ఆగిపోయాయి. సిటీ బస్సులు శనివారం ఉదయం నుంచే డిపోలకే పరిమితమయ్యాయి.
