Pompeo wants peaceful resolution after 'Iranian' oil attacks on Saudi oil facilities

The United States is softening its initial aggressive tone on the recent attack on Saudi Arabian oil facilities.
The diplomatic dialing down of tensions comes just a matter of days after U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called the attack an "act of war."

Mark, Pompeo said on Thursday that Washington is seeking a "peaceful resolution" with Iran,...after Tehran raised the prospect of "all-our war" if it were attacked.
Pompeo made the remarks during a trip to United Arab Emirates to discuss how to respond to the attacks.
Despite Iranian denials, Pompeo said there was an "enormous consensus in the region" that Iran did carry out the attacks.
He added sanctions will be imposed on Iran to prevent its continued support for terrorism.
However, Pompeo stressed Washington will build a coalition aimed at achieving peace.
According to AP,...among Washington's efforts is to more closely monitor the northern part of Iran.
It says the Trump administration is considering deploying a Patriot missile defense system to cover the area.
This comes after Iran warned that any U.S. or Saudi strike against Iran would result in an "all-out war."
The country's Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif told CNN on Thursday that Tehran doesn't want war or to engage in a military confrontation.
However, he made it clear Iran won't blink to defend its territory.
