Raw Papaya Sambharo Recipe for Fafda, Gathiya – It is made from raw/unripe papaya. It is also called Kacha papaya no sambharo where kacha means unripe in Gujarati.
Cabbage Sambharo, also known as "Kobi no sambharo" in Gujarati is a well known traditional side dish that you'll often find in Gujarati thali or with fafda & jalebi.
Ingredients for Gobhi Sambhara:
(Serves 2)
- Cabbage
- 2-3 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 2-3 Green Chillies(chopped)
- Asafoetida
- 5-6 Curry Leaves
- Turmeric Powder
Ingredients for Raw Papita Sambhara:
- Papaya(shredded)
- 1-2 tbsp Oil
- Mustard Seeds
- Asafoetida
- 3-4 Curry Leaves
- Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
Method:
1. For Gobhi Sambhara, Take Shredded Cabbage in a large bowl
2. Turn on the gas and add oil in a large pan
3. Once the oil is heated, add mustard seeds, chopped green chillies, asafoetida, curry leaves, turmeric powder, and shredded cabbage
4. Add salt and mix it all
5. Now, for Raw Papita Sambharo, turn on the flame and place a pan over it
6. Add oil in the pan, followed with mustard seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves, turmeric powder, and shredded papita
7. Add salt from the top along with red chilli powder and mix it
8. Another way of making raw papita sambhara is, taking shredded raw papaya
9. Add 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder from the top and mix it
