MANILA, Philippines – The 2022 World Cup in Qatar may well take place in winter, after FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke ruled out the possibility of playing the tournament in June or July. The average temperature in the summer months in Qatar can be around 35 and 45 degrees Celsius.
