MANILA, Philippines – The town of San Miguel in Bulacan is now under a state of calamity after being hit by Typhoon Santi. As many as 49 barangays in San Miguel were submerged in floods, and authorities there are now appealing for help. “Yung mga tao nasa ibabaw ng bubong,” Vice Mayor Ivee Mendez-Coronel said in an interview on “The World Tonight” Saturday. -- Report from ANC
