On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi Lord Ganpati is worshiped in different ways. In the scriptures, viewing the moon on Chaturthi is considered wrong. It is said that on this day, a person gets false accusation or stigma due to lunar vision, therefore, one should not see the moon on this day.

गणेश चतुर्थी के उत्सव पर भगवान गणपति की विधि विधान से पूजा की जाती है। उनको पूजा में विशेष रूप से दूर्वा अर्पित करते हैं और मोदक का भोग लगाते हैं | शास्त्रों में चतुर्थी के दिन चंद्रमा को देखना वर्जित माना गया है। कहा जाता है कि इस दिन चंद्र दर्शन से व्यक्ति पर मिथ्या आरोप या कलंक लगता है, इसलिए इस दिन चंद्रमा को नहीं देखना चाहि लेकिन इससे लगे कलंक को दूर करने के उपाय भी बताए गए हैं।
