日대사관 앞 울려퍼진 외침…"전쟁범죄 사죄하라"
Several anti-Japan rallies took place today near the Japanese Embassy in Seoul.
The weekly Wednesday rally for the "comfort women" was held as usual and called for Tokyo to officially apologize and compensate the Korean women it sexually enslaved.
The rally organizers referred to Japan's recent removal of a comfort women statue from a public art exhibition, and called on Japan to admit to its wartime wrongdoing.
A union representing government workers also held a protest and urged Japan to accept South Korea's court ruling that ordered Japanese companies to compensate the Korean people used for forced labor during Japan's colonial rule.
