The U.S. State Department says it's ready and willing to engage with North Korea on a working level.
At a press briefing on Wednesday,... the department's spokesperson Morgan Ortagus said... the U.S. wants to make progress towards the promises it made with North Korea at the Singapore summit a year ago.
She added,... the U.S. is looking forward to building a bright economic future for North Korea, but sanctions will remain in effect in the run up to that.
Ortagus didn't confirm whether talks are currently taking place between the two sides.
