North Korea has slammed Seoul and Washington for continuing to hold joint military exercises,... calling them "rehearsals for war."
Pyeongyang's official Korean Central News Agency published an editorial on Saturday,... saying that the regime will not stand for "confrontational actions" that "go against the move towards peace and reconciliation of the two Koreas."
It called on South Korea to follow through with its agreement to ease military tensions,... adding that participating in drills for "nuclear strikes" is an act of betrayal against the North.
The criticism comes despite Seoul and Washington's decision to end their massive annual exercises in a bid to improve relations with the North,... which, earlier this month,... fired a number of projectiles into the East Sea.
